Brett passed! What a relief - especially as it wouldn't have been very fun to post that he didn't pass :)
Anna called Brett at work and asked him if he wanted her to open the envelope. He did and the first thing she read was that he wasn't eligible (she came over to ask me how to say that word - and my first thought was, "Oh no.......") to take the orals because he didn't have 8 years of architectural experience and so he needed to wait one year and 2 months before he could take them. Brett later explained to me that he actually is eligible because of working at a firm before he graduated, but he has to show the architect board his hours and have his boss fill out some paperwork. He will have been working at Dahlin Group for 8 years now on August 5th. The orals are scheduled for July 21/22 and we are so hoping to be done with this then!
Brett also told me that he is officially an architect in any other state, but in California he has to take the orals in addition. Later, over dinner Brett and I were talking and I said, "I can't believe you are done and you passed them all!" Anna said, "It's because we prayed for you!" We love having children full of faith to pass our prayer requests on to! Yes, he was definitely blessed on this last test with all the mathematical formulas he just "loves".
So the hardest part is over and we are so happy! I asked Brett if he told anyone at work and he said, "Well, it didn't really come up." That is so Brett.
The kids and I will make the announcement for him tomorrow when we take a cake in to Dahlin Group and surprise him :)

How exciting!! Congrats to Brett and the entire family! It's been a long road. I hope you get pictures of the celebration at work!
Yes, it is! Thanks, Julee! And good idea to take the camera - Brett's face when he sees all 6 of us show up at work will be "priceless" :)
Do the people at work know about your fifth child yet?
Congrats to Brett. It has been a long road, and we're so excited for you.
We are so proud of Brett (and the family) for hanging in there. That was so much work. Let us know about the orals--if they are okayed.
We love you tons...wish you could visit soon (right after the tests?).
Love,
Mom/Claudia and Dad/Carl
Yipee!! A big congratulations, Brett!! I am so excited for you all.
