I'm sure most of you have great teeth, but I thought you might find this interesting. Ramiel Nagel (the guest speaker) had a 1 year old with multiple cavities and himself as well. He cured both his daughter and himself. We, like all of you, are very interested in keeping our kids teeth healthy and strong. So far our kids are cavity free (knock on wood) without any use of fluoride. I think it is a combination of Brett's genes (he has no cavities), my overall good health and REALLY limiting the junk food intake of our kids. I didn't have many cavities as a kid, but more in college (junk food, not flossing regularly, and never seeing a dentist). After Brett and I got married, I started going every six months for cleanings and after taking care of some previous problems from college, I have been lucky to have no more cavities. However, I wish I could say the same about orthodontics :) In the link it talks about foods to eat and which ones to avoid which I thought was interesting.
I'm also learning about how the glycerin in toothpaste actually coats the teeth making it harder for teeth to remineralize naturally. The naturally forming glycerin that is in toothsoaps is actually much better for the teeth.
