I read this and thought - all mom's should read this! One less thing we have to feel guilty about :) I've never been super concerned (other than choking hazards) about dirt, germs (I grew up hearing that too much protection from the world isn't always beneficial in a developing body) but in the back of my mind I also knew it was because I am somewhat lazy in this area (hence the guilt!) I just can't find it in myself to stress out about everything that goes in their mouths or on their hands. Too many other things to think about. I do like their hands clean AFTER dinner for sure. See? I'm not too lazy :) I do also like their hands washed after they hold slugs and snails as well. My,my,my - maybe I am a clean fanatic after all!! (haha)

I just hate cleaning under their fingernails. That's why I don't let Jack play in the dirt.
And it's not so much the dirt/bugs/animal germs that bug me so much as PUBLIC RESTROOM germs. I'm gagging just thinking about it.
Haha! So true! And who knows what or who has been in the public restroom!!! I have this fear that that is where my kids will get some STD.
So when are you getting your two dogs and a cat?
