"_______" finally made it - only two days late. Mom is home now and only slightly missing the quiet at the hospital :) Now to figure out a schedule that everyone is happy with regarding "My turn to hold the baby". I can't count how many times Brett and I have already said, "Don't fight over who's turn it is!" We had a preview of what it would be like last Thanksgiving at Aunt Amy's (with baby Annie) and then again at Aunt Buffy's (with bigger baby Micah).
"___________" arrived at 5:50 pm on Saturday, May 14th. Weighing in at 10 lbs 1/2 ounce. I quickly learned that "that was nothing" because cousin Eve bounced in at ten lbs and FOUR ounces last summer.
Anna came with us - she really wanted to see the delivery - despite my warnings of blood, gruesome, scarey, gross vs. staying at friends house POSSIBLY overnight! I heard her talking to her friend. Anna: "Lily, would you feel bad if I didn't come to your house and went with my mom and dad instead?" Lily: "Anna, you can come to my house anytime, but it is not often that you get to see your own baby brother born!" What a nice friend. So she came and she was awesome and she loved it. She told Brett, "There was only one time I was kind of scared." Oops.
But anyway - the delivery was very quick. Arrived at hospital at 4:30 pm - didn't do much for an hour. Dr came in and suggested pitocin, I asked if we could wait on that (heard it makes labor harder and faster and wasn't real excited about that) - got up to walk and immediately went into transition - and had the baby 10 minutes later. I thought it was more like 3 hrs of pure torture later......
Just very glad the pregnancy and delivery is OVER. OVER. OVER!
We are so happy to have the little guy with us. He is perfect so far and we are already his family in waiting.

Oh my goodness Sarah, he is so cute! Good job pushing out a 10 pounder! I thought Alice was big, but she has nothing on ______. Haha. So glad it all went well and you have a baby to hold on the outside now :) And what great equality of sexes you have- 3 girls and 3 boys. Perfect!
Haha, that's funny, I just realized "Jim" came up. That would be because I hopped onto the computer that my husband was just using. Oops! It's really just me, your cuz, Anna. Not some weirdo stalker named Jim. :)
Yay!!! I LOVE the pictures and the captions (I hear your voice as I read them). My favorite funny was "no more good thoughts." I love to see those kids--especially luke as a big brother. So proud!!! I'm glad he's finally here after what felt like two years (for you, at least). Call me sometime when you get some peace and quiet. Ha!!
What a beautiful family! Thanks for sharing these pictures- I love seeing my nieces and nephews.
I hope you are getting more settled, lots of sleep (I can dream, can't I?) and that the arguing over holding that rolly-polly 10-pound sweet baby boy has improved. (Although, I think I might be jumping in the fray if I were there!)
Woo hoo! What a cutie!
LOVE that Anna got to be there. What an experience! (Although, now she may never want to have children!)
my favorite picture is "just waiting for stitches"...hahahaha
sarah, that is sean-esque, meaning, you could publish something that funny
(just wait for teh stitches to come out, then it might be more "funner" for you!
I'm laughing at every one of these comments!! Thanks for entertaining me.
