We finally got 2 sets of training wheels that actually worked on Claire and Eliza's mini bikes and we were off for some fun! Had a "twins club" party and thought we would bike over because it wasn't very far. This was our 1st official "every one riding a bike except for Luke" bike trip. It was Claire and Eliza's 1st trip outside of our court. I've been very anxious for them to get on bikes as they are tired of riding in the trailer and everytime we go on an outing they beg to ride the scooters, the bigwheels, anything but the trailer.
We left with plenty of time to make it to the party. It was only one mile away. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there. Quite an adventure :) We had to take both trailers because we had to bring chairs with us and we also weren't sure if C and E would make it. However, they thought it was SO MUCH FUN! We did hear some noises about tired legs, but they did so well. Eliza struggled towards the end coming up the hill, but was happy as a clam to be riding her bike. We waited about 20 minutes for Brett and her to finally pull in. Dad is so patient.

Yea for family bike rides! I must say it is so fun, despite the extension of the time it takes to travel a few blocks. Their sense of independence and accomplishment, and how they are so excited about what they've done is worth the extra time!
