Ty Walburger Has Arrived, Baby Gambee on her way......

Ty (Grandbaby #34) arrived at about 11:45 pm on Sunday, July 13th. He came in at a bouncing 9 lbs. 4 oz. Labor started on Saturday and ended on Sunday night. They then decided that Ty would need to stop resisting his birth and they would get him out by C-Sec.

Anna and Josh were good sports late at night, despite being very tired. We had fun eating in the cafeteria at 11:30 pm. Then they slept while I sorted papers. I had a hard time waking them back up once it was time to see if the baby had come yet. We got to see him about 15 minutes after his birth and he was so beautiful and cute. Perfect little face. The nurses even let Anna and Josh in (probably because it was so late at night) and we got to touch him. He seemed to be breathing well and looked perfect when we left. However, after some observation, they realized that he was not swallowing - so like big brother they moved him to the NICU. Hopefully, his stay will be shorter as he doesn't seem to have the same breathing problems that Ben had. Time will tell - there could be other complications.

Before the baby came we got to hang out with Ben back at the house- Ben seems to have improved about 500% from the last time we saw him. He can fold his arms when told to for prayer (Ahem, Luke, pay attention!). Plays peek-a-boo and rolls all around. Goes to bed without a peep and is just a sweet, happy boy. Pays attention to all that is happening around him. Still struggling with swallowing, and has to be suctioned regularly. Hopefully he will be able to get his trach out in a couple of weeks which will mean one less machine that has to go with him wherever he goes.

I forgot the camera on the couch so I don't have pictures.

Anna and Josh played with cousins Scott, Natalie and Jack. Non-stop talking, laughing and playing. And I mean non-stop. Did I say non-stop? Never a dull moment. All the way up till it was time to head back to the hospital around 10:00 pm. Awwww Mom!!! Once back at the hospital we found out that the C - Section would be happening soon, so we wanted to wait.

Anna and Josh thought this trip qualified for an "adventure". We got home at 3:00 am. Brett had to be at work Monday morning or we would have stayed longer. Brett had his own adventure at home and church with Claire, Eliza and Luke. But that's another story..............

Also: Luke called to say that Meghann is in labor........ (from hospital around 8:00 pm) Grandbaby #35!

So happy to hear that baby Ty is here. Glad that sweet Ben is doing better. It is good that the three of you were able to go up. I'll bet that Beth was glad that you were there. Yea for Brett to "handle Sunday". Love all of you.
