Eliza is a little girl that loves to dress up. She is most happy when she has a blanket (a "Mary") on her head, preferably silky and more than 4 bows or rubberbands in her hair. She dresses in multi-layers constantly - even in her pajamas - because she says it is "more beautiful". She comes to me and gives me directions of how to twist, tie, attach items to her head or clothing. I try to appease this creative child, but most often times she tells me I did it wrong. No, it is not frustrating. I really like doing her hair 4-5 times a day. She tells me to put her bow on top with all her hair (doesn't work, darling child, you need about 3 more inches of hair) Then Claire will want the same thing, only her hair is even shorter. If any hairs touch her neck, we are in dire straits. They do outgrow this, right? This is a concoction she made herself. Even though all her siblings were laughing at her, she still thought she was beautiful. (And at least one other person (her mom) agrees with her !
